About Me
Hi there! I’m Dr. Shana Bunch-Fancher, an educational leader, outdoor enthusiast, and passionate advocate for empowering others to live their best lives—whether that’s in the classroom, the great outdoors, or somewhere in between.
With over two decades of experience in education, I’ve worn a lot of hats: teacher, campus administrator, executive director, grant manager, and even legislative task force co-chair. I’ve been blessed to lead programs that make a difference, from supporting students with special needs to developing innovative curriculum models that prepare kids for life beyond the classroom.
A Career Rooted in Service and Innovation
I hold a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, and my journey in education has always been fueled by a love of growth and innovation. From the early days of classroom technology, I’ve sought out tools that could empower students. When the first iPad hit the market, I saved and saved to buy one because I knew it would give my students a voice and open doors to new ways of learning. It did just that, and it’s the same spark that now drives my passion for integrating AI into education.
Some highlights from my career include:
Spearheading grant-funded projects like the Texas 21st Century After-School Centers on Education, impacting thousands of students.
Serving on advisory boards for autism awareness and training programs, where I’ve worked to create inclusive spaces for all learners.
Presenting workshops on classroom management, early childhood education, and AI integration, helping educators nationwide sharpen their craft.
But what I’m most proud of is building connections—with students, parents, and educators who inspire me daily.
